Did you know that 1 in 10 people in our community struggle with food insecurity? This means they are unsure of where, or when, they will get their next meal. They may have trouble affording food or having enough to feed themselves or their families.
Harvest Hope Food Bank is on a mission to eliminate hunger in South Carolina. It is the state’s largest food bank. It provides over 50,000 meals a week for those facing hunger. That is more than 20 million meals each year.
Harvest Hope distributes food to food pantries, shelters and soup kitchens. It runs programs that provide food for children, seniors and rural residents who don’t have access to grocery stores. It also has its own emergency food pantries in Greenville and Columbia. Anyone in need can get a week’s supply of groceries for free.
Harvest Hope can’t do it alone. Donors and volunteers are the key to feeding our neighbors.
Let’s fight hunger together. Donate or volunteer your time to help those in need. Just one can helps feed our neighbors facing hunger.
